JCC sets up mixed cooperation commission to investigate death of Pirita young man
The Joint Control Commission (JCC) decided to create a mixed commission that will consist of representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and the Transnistrian region. The members of the commission will actively cooperate with the bodies investigating the death of the young man from Pirita and will help them where they need, the representative of the Moldovan delegation to the JCC Ion Leahu has told Info-Prim Neo.
“The Moldovan delegation aimed to ensure cooperation between the components of the JCC, the Unified Military Command and the investigation bodies so that the circumstances of the given case are established objectively and completely,” said Ion Leahu.
He informed that it also decided to launch a call to the population to obey the signs placed at the peacekeeping posts. “Until these posts exist, we call on the population to obey the signs set up there,” said Ion Leahu.
The next meeting of the Joint Control Commission will take place on January 12.
On January 1, a young man was shot fatally by a Russian peacekeeper at the trilateral peacekeeping post No. 9 situated near Vadul lui Voda. The 18-year-old man was driving a car and refused to stop at the post. Vadim Pisari died in the hospital shortly after he was operated.
