Judge from Orhei to be investigated for falsifying public documents

Prosecutors got the consent of the Supreme Council of Magistrates to prosecuting and holding accountable a judge from Orhei. The judge is accused of falsifying public documents and of intentionally passing a judgment against the law, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, when examining the complaint of an economic entity about the decisions made by the prosecutors, the judge ordered rejecting it. In three months, the judge sent the copy of the judgment to the Prosecutor’s Office. Its content was different as it said that the economic entity’s complaint was accepted.

Now that the Supreme Council of Magistrates gave its consent, the prosecutor general is to bring legal proceedings against the judge. The case will be dealt with by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
