Parliament on May 21 adopted the decision by which the Superior Council of Magistracy proposed dismissing Sveatoslav Moldovan from the post of judge of the Superior Court of Justice based on his resignation, IPN reports.
Sveatoslav Moldovan is one of the judges who tried the “Gemeni” case in which the Republic of Moldova was convicted by the European Court of Human Rights and obliged to pay €3.6 million to the plaintiffs.
The Superior Council of Magistracy approved his resignation in March. In this, the judge invoked health reasons.
