The state will obtain a grant from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for building a landfill, a sorting station and a composting station in Dondușeni, and also transfer stations in Edineț and Briceni, IPN reports.

The Cabinet approved the draft law on the ratification of the grant agreement with the EBRD to the value of €5.4 million. This money will also go to purchase equipment and machinery for transporting, sorting, recycling and composting, such as vehicles, bins and containers.

The grant will support the implementation of the Moldova Solid Waste Project that was signed on February 22, 2024.
