The Cabinet on August 20 approved the list of laureates of the National Award 2018, IPN reports.
University professor Oleg Lupan, Doctor Habilitate of Technical Sciences, will get the National Award 2018 for original contributions to developing nanotechnologies and to promoting national science abroad.
Writer Iurie Colesnic will be awarded for his literary work and research activity in the field of history of Bessarabia.
University lecturer Liliana Groppa, Doctor Habilitate of Medical Sciences, will receive the National Award 2018 in rheumatology for exceptional practical activity and research in rheumatology.
Researcher-lecturer Gheorghe Savin, Doctor Habilitate of Agriculture, will be awarded for his selection activity and contribution to developing the national vineyard stock.
Film director Viorel Mardare will get the National Award for original creation in documentary film making and for promoting Moldova’s image.
Researcher-lecturer Aureliu Batranac, Doctor of Medical Sciences, will be awarded for innovations and exceptional activity in heart surgery and for promoting Moldova’s image.
Craftswoman Maria Cristea, founder and director of the National Costume’s House “Casa Cristea”, will receive the National Award for her contribution to promoting cultural identity and to safeguarding the national costume in Moldova.
Baritone Andrei Jilihovschi, senior soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, will be awarded for his exceptional performing style and for promoting Moldova’s image.
Executive director of the Charity Association “MAD-Aid Limited” Victoria Dunford will be awarded for contributing to implementing charity projects to include persons with special needs and to promote the model of responsible citizenship in the country of origin Moldova.
Retired brigade general Ion Solonenco, the head of Moldova’s delegation to the Joint Control Commission, will get the National Award for his considerable contribution to promoting the country reunification and security policy.
The National Award is of 100,000 lei.
