League leaders lose points
Dacia Chisinau lost crucial points in the national football championship. On Sunday, March 6, the Yellow Wolves drew 1-1 with one of the bottom sides, Nistru Otaci. The league leaders opened the score through Ghenadie Orbu, who leads scorers’ chart with 16 goals. However, Nistru leveled in the dying moments of the game, when Georgian player Tukashvili beat goalkeeper Artiom Gaiduchevici with a long shot.
Dacia’s main title contenders, Sheriff Tiraspol reduced the gap to just 2 points, after a 1-0 victory over Iskra-Stal. The only goal of the match was scored by 18 year old Serbian attacker Alexander Pesic.
Milsami Orhei recovered after two consecutive losses and defeated Dinamo Bender 3-0. Gheroghe Boghiu was man of the match with two goals to his name.
