The Broadcasting Coordination Council extended the broadcast license of Elita TV channel for seven more years. The Council members praised the team for its work, saying it is a professional one, IPN reports.
Elita TV will start 2017 without retransmitting the Romanian channel TVR International for the reason that they could not agree on the extension of the contract. Thus, 96% of the programs will be national ones, 85% of which are produced by the channel’s team. Besides news programs, Elita TV will also produce debates and cultural and cognitive programs. The channel’s administration aims to constitute a team in Dubasari district as well so as to extend the broadcasting area at the local level.
Council member Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca noted the work done by Elita TV channel is commendable. Its team consists of creative and motivated people who managed to attract projects and funds, serving as an example of work in crisis periods for other media outlets.
