An agreement to build a complete system for managing animal waste was signed by the Ministry of Finance and the International Development Association. Under the agreement, an animal waste disposal system will be built to facilitate Moldova’s inclusion in the list of countries that can export animal products to the EU, IPN reports.

The agreement on the third additional financing for the Moldova Agricultural Competitiveness Project (MAC-P) envisions financing in the amount of €13.5 million. The implementation period is 2020 - 2024. The interest rate on the loan is now 0.45% a year. A service tax of about 0.75% a year is stipulated.

The Consolidated Agricultural Projects Management Unit that is managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment is the implementing institution.
