Today is the last workday before an extended, four-day weekend kicks in for public sector employees. Employees are expected back to their workplaces, and students back to classes on Monday, May 13.
May 9 is a national holiday that marks both Victory Day and Europe Day. The Government decided to make this Friday a day off, as well. However, this will have to be made up for next Saturday, May 18.
The next extended weekend will include a day off on Monday, August 26, the day before Independence Day. It will be compensated by work on a Saturday, August 17.
