The Polish carrier LOT Polish Airlines re-launches the connection from Chisinau. From January 2 already, passengers flying from Chisinau again will be able to visit Warsaw, Europe and North America on board LOT planes. LOT offers them a wide and convenient flights network, excellent service, efficient and comfortable transfers in LOT’s hub in Warsaw, and the shortest travel time to many destinations in Europe. The presentation was made in a news conference at IPN on December 7.
In the event, Poland’s Ambassador to Moldova Artur Michalski said the two states have very close relations and now that the Polish carrier re-opened its service from Chisinau to Warsaw, the relations could develop further. “I’m very glad that today – owing to the Polish airline LOT – we have good news for you. From next year already, you will be able to fly directly from Chisinau to Warsaw. I’m strongly convinced that this will help extend the relations between our societies,” stated the diplomat.
LOT Chief Executive Officer for Romania and Moldova Jakub Malecki said the connection between Warsaw and Chisinau has been suspended due to so-called compensatory measures imposed on LOT during restructuring process. The re-opened service from Chisinau to Warsaw will give passengers access to a wide range of flights to nearly 60 destinations departing from LOT’s hub at Chopin Airport, such as Chicago, New York, Toronto, Stockholm, Vilnius, Moscow, Copenhagen, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, Geneva, Dusseldorf or Hamburg – all of them will be available for passengers from Chisinau as early as in January 2016. LOT will connect Chisinau with many Polish cities.
Jakub Malecki stated that LOT will fly to Chisinau with modern Bombardier Q400 aircrafts four times a week. Take off is scheduled at 14:45 Mondays and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Saturdays departures from Chisinau are scheduled at 17:55. Bombardier aircrafts are well-thought-of by passengers for spacious cabin and no middle seat. LOT offers three service classes adjusted to needs and expectations of different groups of passengers on short haul, European flights: LOT Business Class; LOT Premium Economy Class, and LOT Economy Class.
