The performing of illegal entrepreneurial activities will be penalized less harsher when the amendments to the Contravention Code adopted in the last sitting of Parliament take effect, IPN reports, quoting the electronic bulletin “Fiscal Monitor FISC.md”.
Thus, work done based on a lawyer’s, notary’s, bailiff’s or mediator’s license or based on entrepreneur’s patent without being registered as payer of state social insurance contributions is penalized with a fine of 25 to 50 conventional units (a c.u. is equal to 50 lei) in the case of private individuals and of 50 to 100 c.u. in the case of persons holding responsible posts. When the amendments come into force, the given fines will be 13 to 30 c.u. and 30 to 60 c.u. respectively.
The performing of entrepreneurial activities without registering with the State Registration Chamber or another competent public authority or with registration certificate declared invalid will be punished with a fine of 30 to 90 c.u., as opposed to 50 to 150 c.u. at present.
The fines for performing entrepreneurial activities without an authorization, license or certificate will be almost halved and will vary between 60 and 180 c.u., in contrast to 100 to 300 c.u. now.
The presentation of false documents or information for registration is now penalized with a fine of 20 to 75 c.u. When the amendments to the Contravention Code take effect, the fine will range between 12 to 45 c.u.
The organization of so-called financial pyramids is penalized with a fine of 100 to 150 c.u.in the case of private individuals and of 400 to 500 c.u. in the case of legal entities. But these fines will be reduced to 60 to 90 c.u. and, respectively, 240 to 300 c.u.
