Approximately 450 business entities operating in all the sectors of the national economy will present products, services and accomplishments at the 18th exhibition “Made in Moldova” that will open at the Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo” on January 30, 2019. Companies from 18 districts, business entities from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region will take part in the event with common stands, IPN reports.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergiu Harea told a news conference that “Made in Moldova” in a unique exhibition that promotes the national products and services, with the massive involvement of national companies working in different sectors of the economy. The theme of this year’s exhibition is “At Home. Authentic. Autochthonous”. The exhibition will occupy an area of about 3,200 square meters in three pavilions of the Exhibitions Center.
Sergiu Harea said the representatives of the public authorities are interested in this event, but the development partners show a special interest in the exhibit. As part of the project “Visibility and Communication for actions related to AA/DCFTA implementation in the framework of EU-funded assistance programs”, business entities will be informed about the opportunities provided by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement signed with the EU.
For the first time this year, companies that form part of the Moldova-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which support national producers to export to China, will take part with a common stand. Also, the authorities of Turkey, Romania, Russia and Belarus will support the companies by covering a part of their costs so as to be able to visit the exhibition.
As in the previous editions, the exhibit will include a program of debates that will center on topical issues of interest to consumers and producers. There will be staged different roundtable meetings, company and product presentations, seminars, conferences on topics of interest concentering commercial-economic cooperation.
The exhibition starts at 11am on January 30, at pavilion No. 2 of “Moldexpo”. Last year “Made in Moldova” was visited by about 50,000 people and this shows the population’s interest in the event, according to the administration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
