Health Minister Silvia Radu and the recently elected President of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences have been included on the commission responsible for selecting winners of the annual National Awards, the Government decided today.

The commission is composed of representatives of public authorities, the academia and civil society.

The National Awards, which come with a money prize of 100,000 lei, are offered on Independence Day (August 27) in recognition of remarkable achievements in fields that include science and technology, culture and arts, and sports, among others.
