The Botanica Court sentenced a man and a woman to 17 years and, respectively, 18 years in jail for deliberate murder committed with special cruelty. Three years ago, an 18-year-old girl fell from the ninth floor of an apartment building located in Chisinau. A criminal case over persuasion to commit suicide was started immediately after the incident. However, it was later established that the girl was thrown out of the window, IPN reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the police, in the morning of September 29, 2013, the girl was in the apartment of a woman of whose child she took care. For the reason that this left the child unsupervised, the woman, together with a man, started to beat the girl and then pushed her and threw her out of the window. The girl died on the spot.

The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
