A 49-year-old man was arrested while taking US$500 from a man aged 25 for influencing employees of the Buiucani Police Commissariat. He promised the young man he will not be held accountable for stealing two mobile phones, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Anticorruption Center. The man came to the meeting place accompanied by a group of Romani people. They offered resistance during the arrest. The police officers fired a warning shot. The money was found in the arrested man’s car. During the arrest, the man’s wife bit Senior Inspector Sergiu Ganta’s hand. The case is investigated by the General Division for Combating Economic Crimes.
