Rescuers took the body of 45-year-old man out of a well in Domulgeni village of Floresti district on June 16. Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the well was about 60 meters deep. It is not yet known if the man jumped into it or fell accidentally. Employees of the Domulgeni mayor’s office said the man had been seen near the well together with other villagers. The men prepared the well for Pentecost, when the wells are usually cleaned. Allegedly, the pail fell into the well and the man, who reportedly was under the influence, tried to take it out. According to the same employees, the man had worked abroad for several years and returned home after the winter holidays. He did not have a very good reputation in the village as he often quarreled with his parents.
