A man aged 32 was arrested in Cahul town on suspicion of murder. If he is found guilty, he will serve up to 15 years in jail, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, in November 2016 the suspect got aquatinted with a homeless person who found shelter in an annex of a store in Cahul. After they drank alcoholic beverages together, the two started to quarrel. The suspect beat to death his drinking companion and then threw the body in a manhole nearby and covered it with stones.

The man was arrested for 72 hours.
