A 23-year-old man faces 1 to 2 years in prison after giving a number of sexually explicit photos of his 17-year-old girlfriend to a website with unrestricted access. The girl's mother notified the prosecutors, who initiated criminal proceedings against the man and the website's administrators. Dumitru Purici, prosecutor at the General Prosecutor's Office's department against computer crimes, told a news conference that the man took the pictures of his completely naked girlfriend on his mobile phone at his place with her consent in May. After they broke up, he man decided to punish her by giving the photos to an entertainment website. The man admitted his guilt. As the website's administrators as well as the webservers are located abroad, the prosecutors have requested international assistance from a number of states. Several administrators were already identified. They are Moldovan nationals residing abroad. The administrators face from 3 to 7 years in prison under various charges. The case will be heard by the Buiucani District Court.
