An unidentified man of about 30 fell from the floor of an apartment building situated in Chisinau's Botanica district and died. Maria Shamatailo, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was dead when the ambulance arrived. The dwellers of the building said they don't know the man and did not see from what floor he fell or jumped. An investigation is underway. A woman in her 60s tried to kill herself with pills, but was found by a friend of hers before the pills took effect. When the ambulance arrived, the woman tried to jump through the window. The doctors managed to thwart her in her attempts and took her to the hospital. A 34-year-old man also took pills in order to kill himself. He was admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams traveled to 745 addresses, dealing with 88 cases of trauma, 102 cases of acute viral infection, 24 cases of acute diarrheal diseases, five strokes, and 13 deliveries.
