A man aged 35 from the municipality of Balti was sentenced to nine years in jail for intentional murder. The man shot dead his friend from a hunter gun. According to prosecutors, the crime was committed after a drinking bout. The gun belonged to the victim, Info-Prim Neo reports. Several men went to a common friend to celebrate his birthday. After drinking alcohol, the invitees started to quarrel. One of them went home to bring his gun. At the trial, the suspects said they met the man on the road. He was driving a car and had the gun on him. They struck his car with their own car in order to avoid the shots. But the man managed to fire several shots in the air. Angry, the convict took his gun and shot him in the heart. The victim died on the spot. In a communique, the Prosecutor General's Office says the other men were sentenced for favoring the crime.
