A man from Cimislia district was sentenced to 10 years in a closed type penitentiary on charges of domestic violence, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Cimislia Prosecutor’s Office, this spring, the woman was waiting for her daughter in the schoolyard after having returned from abroad, where she had worked. The man attacked his wife with the fists and then beat her with a club. This took place in front of several pupils. The 28 year old victim was hospitalized in the intensive care section. The couple had been married for 9 years. The investigation found that the husband became aggressive in recent years after learning that his wife intended to divorce. The 41 year old can appeal his sentence in the higher courts.
