A man aged 54 died in a fire that broke out at a waste dump near Pascani village of Criuleni district, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN.

The firefighters were called in the afternoon of May 5. The fire extended on an area of about 100 square meters. The carbonized body of the man was found in a shed that was situated on the territory of the waste dump.

The cause of fire hasn’t been established yet. The Service’s inspectors are to determine all the circumstances.

Four more fires happened on Easter. But they didn’t cause significant damage.
