Man kills wife who wanted to go to work in Russia
A 34-year-old man from Rascani district stabbed his wife to death because she wanted to go to Russia to work. The court sentenced him to 13 years in jail, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Prosecutor General's Office.
In order to hinder his wife from going abroad, the man closed her in a cellar and then burned all her documents. In several days, while under the influence of alcohol, the man started to quarrel with his wife and stabbed her several times with a knife. The woman died as a result of her injuries. The man was caught in the neighbor's yard with a knife in his hand.
During the questioning, the man admitted his guilt. Their minor son remained alone now.
The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
