A man from Solcani village, Soroca district, is suspected to have beaten his neighbor and then strangled him with an electric wire to make sure he was dead. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the two men drank alcoholic beverages together and then got into a fight, Info-Prim Neo reports. The body of the 52 year old man, showing clear signs of a violent death, was found in the yard of his 71 year old neighbor by the postmaster of Solcani. The investigation found that the two men picked up a fight after drinking a few glasses together. The older one beat his companion with a pole, and then strangled him with an electric wire. According to the villagers, the victim was married, had 3 married children and was working abroad. The suspect has been divorced for a few years now and was rejected by his 2 children. He is now in custody and prosecuted for intentional murder. If he is found guilty, he risk 12 to 20 years in jail or even a life sentence.
