The weather is growing colder due to an anticyclone coming from the Balkans. According to the head of the Weather Forecasts Center of the State Hydrometeorological Service Gennady Rosca, the anticyclone will bring polar cold air and will influence the whole territory of Europe, IPN reports.
On February 23, daytime temperatures in northern Moldova will range between -1 and +2°C, while nighttime temperatures between -4 and -7 °C. On the weekend, the temperatures will decline to -10°C during the day and to -15°C at night.
At the start of next week, thermometers will show lows of -10°C during the day and of -19°C at night. On February 27, it will grow slightly warmer, but March 1 comes with -18°C at night.
It will snow lightly during February 24-28 in parts of the country.
Spring temperatures are expected to come after March 10-12.
