The National Integrity Agency could include the Chisinau City Hall in the risk zone so that the functionaries of the municipality will be examined among the first in the course of this year. A relevant request was made by Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, IPN reports.
The mayor on January 10 took part in the meeting to constitute the working group for the prevention and combating of corruption in the municipality of Chisinau. According to Ion Ceban, among the objectives of the municipality are to think up and sign a partnership agreement between the National Anticorruption Center and the Chisinau City Hall and to amend the legislation by areas of interest so as to fight corruption at municipal level.
“Studies show the Chisinau City Hall is one of the most corrupt state institutions. Our objective or my personal objective is to maximally diminish this phenomenon by digitalizing the services provided for the people. This would reduce bureaucracy and corruption in the local public administration. We want the Chisinau City Hall to become a large factory of high-quality services and a transparent institution,” the mayor posted on Facebook.
