Mayor of Chisinau to speak about democratic reforms implemented in Moldova with U.S. students

The Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca next days will deliver a lecture on the promotion of democratic reforms in Moldova at John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University. The mayor will be visiting the United States during May 5-10 at the invitation of the Kokkalis Program on Southeastern and East-Central Europe of Harvard University, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Chisinau City Hall. According to the program of the visit, Dorin Chirtoaca will meet with representatives of state institutions and civil society, including John Todd Stewart, who had been the U.S. Ambassador to Moldova from 1995 until 1998. Founded in 1997 at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Kokkalis Program aims to enhance the quality of stability, democracy, and prosperity and institutional vitality in Southeastern Europe. It is an integrated network of educational, research and outreach activities.
