The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency announced that it received two applications to register the Russian COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V in the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Agency noted that the applications were submitted by business entities that propose the brand names R-COVI injectable solution and Gam-COVID-Vac Vaccin combined vector for preventing infection with coronavirus induced by SARS-CoV-2 (Sputnik V), injectable solution.
“After assessing the files, the Agency will make sure that the efficiency, inoffensiveness and quality of the vaccines authorized in the Republic of Moldova are in compliance with those of the vaccines proposed for use at world level,” the Agency stated.
The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency also said that it is in the process of authorizing COVID-19 vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna, which were included in the COVAX program.
