Medicines Agency strikes off Strim insulin

The Agency of Medicines and Medical Equipment has erased the insulin injection drug Strim, manufactured by the Ukrainian company Farmak, from the State Nomenclature for safety concerns.

The Agency said in a press release this comes in response to an increasing number of side effect complaints, with 101 reported to date.

On July 25, the Agency suspended the national authorization of Strim, an insulin biosimilar, to investigate safety claims.
