Mihai Cimpoi launches book about 'sweet' classical style of Romanian writers

Academician Mihai Cimpoi has launched his book titled “Great Romanian Writers – Literary Insets” that includes the biography of 32 writers. The author says that by this book he tried to engage in the European dialogue of values. “Constantin Noica said that Europe is the salt of the sea, but we added the 'sweet' classical style of our great writers,” Mihai Cimpoi said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The book is written in Romanian and translated by the author into Russian. It is recommended for fifth-twelfth graders. Alisa Russu, teacher of Romanian language and literature at the Chisinau high school “Nicolae Gogol”, said the work is attractive by the simplicity of the descriptions. It is written in a laconic form and is based on complex information. Claudia Balaban, the head of the library “Ion Creanga”, said that Mihai Cimpoi is one of the illustrious national critics and writers. “The book contains biographies of Romanian writers, starting with Vasile Alecsandri and ending with Grigore Vieru. It was planned to be interesting and easy to study for students,” Claudia Balaban said. Students of the high school “Nicolae Gogol” recited poems by Mihai Eminescu, Grigore Vieru, George Bacovia. Tenth grader Natalia Munteanu said she likes reading Mihai Cimpoi's books, while the volume “Great Romanian Writers – Literary Inserts” will be one of his fundamental books. Mihai Cimpoi is the author of 40 books and about 2,000 articles.
