{On May 14, Anastasia Lazariuc will give a concert in Chisinau. Mihai Traistariu is the special invitee of the singer. Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Bucharest asked him with what thoughts he goes to Moldova.} [– You do not come often to Chisinau. Don't you miss the local public?] – I miss Chisinau. In fact, I adore Chisinau and the performances given at the National Palace. I swore I will launch an album there! The public there is wonderful! I was very glad when Anastasia Lazariuc invited me to take part in her concert. She is a great artist whom I always loved. Do you know why? Because I consider myself a simple man and I like the same type of artists: without airs and graces, extremely talented, nice and with a strong character. Anastasia has special sensibility that we cannot found in the Romanian singers, not mentioning her exceptional beauty. Her daughter is also among the most beautiful women in Romania. I love Anastasia Lazariuc's songs as they are hearty. In the concert, I will sing such songs as “How beautiful you are” , “Je t'aime”, “Tornero”. I also prepared a surprise for the Chisinau public. I will perform for 15 minutes. I think it will be a great performance. [– You said you have a surprise...] – Yes... One year ago I was invited to form part of the jury of a national Romanian festival. A boy aged 11 from Chisinau, Stefan Roscovan, impressed me greatly then. He won the Top Prize. I gave him a special prize and promised that one day we will sing a song together. My surprise will be a duet with him in Chisinau. [ –You take part in many festivals for children. Why do you engage in such activities that are not financially profitable?] –I want to discover young talents and take them with me to TV programs and concerts. Any young singer wants to be noticed by impresarios, music production houses, etc. I want to give them this chance. It is hard as the TV channels started to promote vulgar personages without value and school, all kinds of half naked women. The fact that the talent is not given priority is ridiculous. But I think that we, the artists, together with persons from the showbiz will manage to remove the nonentities from the screen and bring talented persons with qualities. [ – Eurovision is approaching and I want to ask you what do you think about Moldova's chances at this contest, from the perspective of a man who competed in it?] – I'm sure that the representatives of Moldova will do everything possible to have a better performance than the previous Moldovan contenders. I advise them not to forget that the votes at Eurovision are given to the neighbors, not to the talents! They must concentrate their efforts and do their utmost. I will keep my fingers crossed for them. I would like to represent Moldova at Eurovision in the not too distant future! I always considered that the Moldovan artists have developed artistic skills and their performance on the stage is exceptional. I'm confident that I can win Eurovision with a perfect song for my voice and a show organized by Moldovan choreographers. I think the videos made in Moldova are of a better quality than the Romanian ones. They cost more in Romania and are not of the best quality. Anyway, until Moldova changes the regulations for Eurovision so that foreign singers are also allowed to represent it, as we have the Moldovan composer Nicolae Caragea and such artists as Catalin Josan, Ana Lesko and Dan Balan in our competition, I will continue to promote my songs in the 15 countries with which I have contracts now. [ – What are you working on now?] – I have finished a folk music album! It contains 12 songs representing all the areas, mainly the region of Moldova, as I'm native of Piatra Neamt. The album will be launched in a month. I will also launch a "Best of ". In fact this is an older album that will contain three new songs as it was in demand and was sold in seven days.
