A minibus running on the Carpesti-Chisinau route overturned near Leova town after colliding head-on with a Ford Tranzit minibus in the morning of June 14. As a result of the impact, three persons were hurt and needed medical care.

Contacted by IPN, press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Alina Bunghez said it was preliminary established that the driver of the Ford minibus lost control of the vehicle and moved to the contraflow lane, colliding head-on with the route minibus with 11 passengers on it.

Two persons from the route minibus and the Ford driver suffered minor injuries and were given first aid.

The accident happened at about 7:30am. An investigation was opened to establish who is to blame for the accident.
