A number of medical crews were called out on December 29 when a minibus with ten Moldovans on board overturned at the entrance to Răducăneni commune on the DN 28A highway. According to representatives of SMURD Iași, the passengers were conscious, but suffered multiple injuries, IPN reports.
“One of the passengers had left before an ambulance arrived. None of the passengers wanted to go to the hospital. The persons were from the Republic of Moldova,” spokeswoman for the Iasi Inspectorate for Emergencies Silvia Bolohan stated for agerpres.ro.
The police started a criminal case against the driver over causing of bodily injuries by not adjusting the speed to the unfavorable weather conditions.
“The first examinations showed a 27-year-old man driving a minibus on the DN 28A road lost control of the vehicle near Răducăneni from the direction of Iași because he didn’t adjust the speed to the conditions on the road, changing lanes. The minibus overturned. A criminal case over causing of bodily injuries was started,” stated Ioana Bîlea, spokeswoman for the Iasi County Police Inspectorate.
