The Ministry of Finance announces competition for the position of Customs Service director. Persons with proven management skills and a high level of integrity are urged to submit their applications by September 30, says a press release of the institution, quoted by IPN, said.

Interested persons can file the application only by e-mail to: concursvama@mf.gov.md. The application form shall contain: curriculum vitae and the contact details of two persons who will agree to be contacted by the commission to confirm the candidate's competencies, if applicable. Also, a letter of motivation, highlighting the experience and skills relevant to the job, is required.

Applicants may as well submit a concept of institutional development for the Customs Service, which will include measures to combat corruption within the institution and smuggling. The following documents shall be required: diplomas and certificates of completed professional development and / or specialization courses, the agreement on the acceptance of special control and the declaration of non-affinity with customs broker.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the person appointed as director of the Customs Service will contribute to the establishment and implementation of a complex program of institutional development, with emphasis on transparency, integrity and efficiency of processes within the institution. At the same time, he/she shall be in charge of implementing state policies in the area of responsibility, as well as developing the human capacity of the Customs Service.
