Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Dhaka terror attack

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration firmly condemns the July 2 terrorist attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which claimed the lives of 20 citizens of Italy, Japan, the United States and India and of local police officers, IPN reports.

“Such acts of violence cannot be justified. The Ministry expresses its solidarity with the authorities of Bangladesh, Italy, Japan, the U.S. and India, the profound regret being for the loss of human lives. Compassion for the grieving families,” it is said in a press release of the Ministry.

The Ministry reiterates Moldova’s firm commitment to fight all forms of terrorism and reasserts the necessity of joining forces and stepping up efforts at international level so as to combat these.

The terror attack in a restaurant located in a diplomatic quarter resulted in the death of 20 people who were taken hostage. Most of these were from Italy, the Unites States and Japan.
