Ministry of Regional Development discriminates against Gagauzia, Formuzal
Bashkan Mihail Formuzal considers that the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions discriminates against Gagauzia as an economic development region. The governor addressed an official letter to Minister Marcel Raducan, where he expresses his dissatisfaction, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the official website of Gagauzia, Mihail Formuzal said that the autonomous region wasn’t engaged in the implementation of the state policies on regional development and this fact is intentionally delayed by the central authorities. He also said that representatives of Gagauzia weren’t invited to the National Council for Regional Development Coordination. In this connection, the Bashkan demands convening an exteriority meeting of the Council so as to adopt a decision on the immediate inclusion of Gagauzia in the implementation of the National Regional Development Strategy.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Ecaterina Grigorean, press officer of the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions, said that the Ministry hasn’t yet received a letter from Mihail Formuzal. When the letter arrives, the institution’s administration will make public its official position on the issue.
