Mobiasbanca helps flood-affected people
Mobiasbanca – Groupe Société Générale will provide assistance to the flood victims, Jean-Louis Mattei, director of the Retail Banking Outside France in Groupe Société Générale, said in a news conference held to mark 20 years of work in Moldova and three years since joining Groupe Société Générale, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Jean-Louis Mattei, the branches of Groupe Société Générale working all over the world undertake social obligations and lend a hand when necessary.
The bank's president Jean-Fransois Myard said that besides giving aid, the employees of the institution will travel to the affected areas and discuss with the people.
Founded on June 4, 1990, Mobiasbanca is one of the first banks with private capital in Moldova. Jean-Louis Mattei said that despite the crisis, Groupe Société Générale remains among the leading banks in the world. It projected a net income of €3 billion for this year and is sure this objective will be achieved.
“The fact that Mobiasbanca belongs to one of the largest financial organizations in Europe and the whole world - Groupe Société Générale - is an incontestable advantage,” said the bank's first vice president Nicolae Dorin. He said this financial group strengthened Mobiasbanca, which now provides new financial products of a high quality and uses world technologies.
With 32 million clients all over the world, Groupe Société Générale is present in 83 countries, employing 157,000 persons.
Mobiasbanca has branches in Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Comrat, Edinet, Orhei, Ungheni, Anenii Noi, Soroca and plans to open new local offices. On July 9, the bank inaugurated a representative office in Chisinau, located at 167 Uzinelor St, where Efes Vitanta Brewery is based.
The bank's new slogan is “We are Near You”. In July, on the occasion of the anniversary, Mobiasbanca – Groupe Société Générale offers discounts of 20% on its credit cards and other concessions.
