Modern energy production and efficient consumption technologies and innovations were presented at the Moldova Eco Energetica 2017 exhibit that is held at Moldexpo during December 6-8. The exhibits include solar water heating systems, photovoltaic panels, solid biofuel boilers, energy-efficient light bulbs, etc.
Mihai Talpa represents a company that imports automobiles. At Moldova Eco Energetica, the company displayed two models of electric cars without internal combustion engines. “These are ecological cars that do not emit gas (CO2) in the atmosphere. The used electrical energy is much cheaper than the fuel. They are more efficient when accelerating,” Mihai Talpa stated for IPN.
Eugen Gavriluta is the director of a company that sells solar water heating systems. “These solar systems help save funds. The solar batteries, if we compare them with a simple boiler, are slightly more expensive, but the investment is recovered swiftly,” he stated.
Igor Ionel, the representative in Moldova of a Romanian company, presents energy-efficient light bulbs for public lighting systems. He said the tele-management system that they promote enable to consume less electricity at night. “The system is programmed to change the lighting capacity at a particular nocturnal hour and less is thus paid for consumption,” said Igor Ionel.
“The goal of the Moldova Eco Energetica Days is to promote new technologies and success stories in the energy efficiency sector. With the assistance of these technologies and these projects, we will be able to reduce electric power consumption in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Alexandru Ciudin, director of the Energy Efficiency Agency.
Launched in 2011, the Moldova Eco Energetica Days are organized by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and the Energy Efficiency Agency, on the initiative of the Moldova Energy and Biomass Project that is funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP.
