As part of the broader central administration reform, the Ministry of Justice’s staff limit will be increased from the current 141 to 160 staffers under a proposed decision submitted for public consultation, IPN reports.
According to the note accompanying the proposal, the increment is needed to allow the Ministry to meet its extended duties and also in connection with the reorganization of administrative authorities under its subordination.
Most extra staff, 14, will go to fill positions in the MoJ’s E-Justice Department, following the reorganization of the Legal Resource Center. Four extra staff are required after the Ministry took over the duty of representing the interests of the State Budget in courts. One more staffer is needed to fulfill the MoJ’s newly acquired duty of providing state compensation for damages caused through crimes.
The Ministry has been given three months to submit to the Government a package of normative proposals needed to reorganize the administrative authorities under its subordination.
