Moldova beat San Marino 2-0

Moldova scored their second victory in the 2012 Euro qualification stage by defeating San Marino 2-0 in an away game on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The game was dominated by the visitors, who nevertheless created few scoring occasions for themselves. The first goal was scored on the 20 minutes and the about 100 Moldovan football fans attending the match had to wait more than one hour for a second, which was scored by Anatol Doros from a penalty kick five minutes before the final whistle. Moldova grabbed all the three points available, but the quality of Moldova's play against the lowly-ranked San Marino was disappointing. Elsewhere in Group E, Holland beat Sweden 4-1, and Hungary defeated Finland 2-1. With these results, the Oranje consolidated their leadership, holding 12 points out of 12 possible; Hungary are in the second, with 9 points; followed by Sweden and Moldova, with 6 points each. Finland and San Marino haven't won any points yet. The next round is scheduled for March 25 and 29, 2011, with the following fixtures: Hungary– Holland, Sweden – Moldova, and Holland – Hungary.
