The concert and impresario organization “Moldova-Concert” IS will be reorganized by merger (absorption) with the impresario agency “Agentia de Impresariat” IS, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.

According to Minister of Culture Monica Babuc, both of the state-owned organizations, which were founded by the Ministry, were created to stage artistic and concert activities. But the impresario agency does not fulfill its duties and only leases out areas. Market prices are applied only in the case of 33% of the leased areas. The rest of the areas are rented by cultural institutions or public associations that cannot pay the market price.

Monica Babuc said the reorganization of “Moldova-Concert” by merger with “Agentia de Impresariat” will optimize administration costs and will ensure better management of their property, while the saved money will be used to stimulate and develop the activities performed by “Moldova-Concert”.
