Moldova, Czech Republic pledge to implement social security accord

Moldova and the Czech Republic signed an administrative agreement for implementing the social security accord. It was signed by Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga and the Czech Ambassador in Chisinau Jaromir Kvapil in Chisinau on June 4, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry, the agreement envisions the provision of old age pensions and disability pensions for ordinary and professional diseases, and the successor’s pension. It also defines the method of paying social benefits, names the institutions responsible for paying them, and enumerates the documents that need to be presented by those who are entitled to receive benefits. Under the agreement, the persons entitled to social benefits can go to the competent bodies – the National Social Insurance House in Moldova and the Czech Social Security Administration in the Czech Republic.
