Moldova’s lowest position ever was in 1994, when the team was ranked 149th. Among Moldova’s group rivals, the Netherlands dropped to second place and Sweden lost 7 positions, being ranked 25th. Hungary climbed to 27th place, Finland to 72nd and San Marino remain the bottom side. World and European champions Spain top the list, followed by the Netherlands and Germany.
