Moldova hosts French Film Festival

More than ten French movies will be screened as part of the 11th French Film Festival that starts in Moldova on March 19 and closes on March 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. Diana Dumitru, official responsible for cultural events at the French Alliance in Moldova, said modern French movies in the original, with Romanian subtitles, will be shown in Chisinau at the Gaudeamus Cultural Center and in other towns, including Tiraspol, Cahul, Balti, and Ungheni. Among the pictures that will be screened are “Louise-Michel, “Les Herbes Folles”, “LOL”, ,”Cartouche”, and Jacques Aadiard's “The Prophet”, which won numerous prizes in France and abroad during the last few years. Lidia Troianowski, manager of the Gaudeamus Cultural Center, has told Info-Prim Neo that over ten modern movies will be shown during the festival, as well as the animated cartoon “Princes and Princesses” for the little spectators. Entrance is free of charge, within the limits of the available places.
