The Government of Moldova decided to provide US$25,000 in humanitarian aid to the Chinese province of Qinghai, which was struck by a powerful earthquake on April 14, Info-Prim Neo reports. A number of 2,183 people were killed in the quake, while 84 were announced missing. About 12,000 persons were seriously injured. The quake destroyed homes, public utilities, high voltage lines, filling stations. Approximately 100,000 people remained without shelter.
