Moldova, Russia to sign memorandum on inter-regional cooperation

Moldova and Russia will sign a memorandum of understanding on inter-regional cooperation. The document will be signed in Moscow by Moldovan Minister of Regional Development and Constructions Marcel Raducan and Russian Minister of Regional Development Oleg Govorun. Marcel Raducan is part of the official delegation headed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat to Moscow during September 10-12, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press release from the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions it was said that the document aims to strengthen relations of strategic cooperation, partnership and friendship between the two countries. By signing the memorandum the parties will commit to further contributing to the advancement of inter-regional cooperation, including in constructing accessibly-priced housing and rehabilitating the housing stock. The memorandum also provides for exchanges of experience and implementation of joint projects. The sides intend to develop multilateral common projects, in particular inter-regional cooperation programs, and to reanimate business contacts between the regions of Moldova and Russia.
