oldovan tomato growers will be able to export fresh produce to Israel. The National Agency for Food Safety announced the decision by the Israeli Plant Protection and Inspection Service.
Tomatoes must come from a place of production with physical protection against Leptinotarsa decemlineata and must be officially inspected before shipment and cleared as pest-free.
At the same time, the transport must be free of leaves and plant residues and without stems and calyxes. The lots must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate, which declares compliance with the specified import requirements. According to ANSA, the Israeli importer must obtain a relevant authorization.
