Moldova to get 3,000 transit authorizations from Ukraine

The Republic of Moldova during the next few days will receive 3,000 bilateral transit authorizations and 2,000 port authorizations for this year. Ukraine accepted the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova to offer an additional quota of authorizations for transporting freight, IPN reports.

According to Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu, this is an immediate result achieved after a visit that he made to Kiev earlier this month. “We bank on the open and efficient cooperation with our Ukrainian counterparts in the future,” the minister posted on Facebook.

Andrei Spînu noted that the joint Moldovan-Ukrainian commission on international road transport will meet on December 6-7, 2021 to discuss a number of topical subjects related to road transport, including the finalization of all the procedures for ensuring the implementation of a liberalized freight transport regime.
