Moldova to participate for first time in European Youth Winter Olympic Festival
Moldova's youth Olympic team will participate for the first time in a European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) this winter, Info-Prim Neo learned from the National Olympic Committee.
Moldova will be represented at the competition by 2 athletes and a coach, who will compete in the biathlon event.
A number of Moldovan aspirants will be training in Miercurea-Ciuc, Romania, until February 2, before traveling to Nove Mesta in the Czech Republic to participate in the World Youth Biathlon Championship. The the make-up of the team for the Winter EYOF will be determined after the Championship.
The aspirants are all members of the Sports Club Dinamo, and include Dumitrita Ciobanu, Bogdan Selin, Irina Spatari and Dan-Cristian Prisacuta.
The 10th European Youth Winter Olympic Festival will be held in Liberec, the Czech Republic, during February 12-19.
