Moldova will have a Tennis Academy

A Tennis Academy will be created instead of the national specialized tennis school, where the most talented tennis players will be trained, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. ”I’m convinced that by founding a Tennis Academy, we will manage not only to further popularize this sport, but also to properly train sportspersons who will represent Moldova at different international competitions,” said Acting President Mihai Ghimpu. According to the deputy head of the National Olympic Committee Nicolae Pitac, the intention to create the Tennis Academy and to hold the National Tennis Championship for all age brackets shows that steps are being taken to improve the situation in an Olympic event that is very popular in the world. The winners of the National Tennis Championship will be able to study at the Tennis Academy without tuition fees.
